We will
continue explaining other ways to classify different forms in the arts. Thus
follows will classify shapes
according to their dimensions: we distinguish the two-dimensional flat shapes or forms and shapes with volume or
three-dimensional shapes. For
example a sheet of paper is a flat shape and a ball is a volumetric shape.
Organic forms are characterized by irregular
profile, these can be natural such as trees, mountains, etc.. And
can also be artificial,
as the design of a fabric.
Geometric shapes are constructed with a mathematical
order. Geometric shapes are the circle, square, triangle, an
architectural drawing, a starfish, an orange cut in half, and so on.
Another part to be addressed in the question of
the form is that of their qualities.
